과거 메시지들 (5월 25일 / 교회의 어머니 복되신 동정 마리아 기념일 / 미국 현충일): 연옥 방문 / 과거 현충일에 주신 메시지들
“오늘 그대 나라의 시민들은 묘지를 방문하여 국기와 꽃다발 등 여러가지로 무덤을 장식하면서 세상을 떠난 이들을 추모합니다. 그러나 모든 사람들이 진실한 마음으로 내가 보여주고자 하는 이 연옥의 환시로 들어온다면, 그들이 가지고 있는 내세에 대한 견해가 완전히 바뀔 것입니다.”
이렇게 말씀하신 후, 천사는 신비스럽게 저를 가시덤불로 덮인 것처럼 보이는 길로 데리고 갔습니다. 우리는 조금 경사진 곳으로 올라갔고, 바위로 된 벼랑 가장자리에서 천사가 저에게 자신 옆에 바짝 붙어 있으라고 말했습니다. 그는 팔을 펼치며 앞을 제쳤는데, 우리가 서 있는 곳 밑에 아주 큰 계곡이 있었습니다. 그 계곡의 한쪽 끝은 엄청나게 거대한 불길로 덮여 있었고, 이 불길 속에서 사람 모양의 그림자들이 불쑥불쑥 나타났다 사라지며 움직이고 있었습니다. 자비를 구하는 큰 소리와 고통으로 인한 울부짖음이 들렸으나, 그들의 울부짖음으로 고통은 완화되지 않았습니다.
알라너스 천사께서 말씀하십니다. “이들이 바로 기도와 희생을 가장 필요로 하는 영혼들입니다. 이곳은 연옥에서 가장 낮은 곳이며, 지옥과 가장 가까운 곳입니다. 아무도 이들을 위해 기도해주지 않기 때문에 이곳에서 너무나 많은 이들이 고통을 겪고 있습니다. 여기 있는 이들은 생전에 ‘좋은’ 사람, 심지어 ‘거룩하다’는 말까지 들었던 사람들입니다. 그러나 그것은 겉모습에 불과했습니다. 이 불쌍한 영혼들 중에는 사제들도 많이 있는데, 이들이 교회의 가르침에 충실하지 않았기 때문입니다.”
“세상에는 다른 이들에 대해 거짓말을 해서 그들의 명예를 손상시킨 사람들이 있는데, 이들이 바로 그런 사람들입니다.” 하시면서 천사는 자신의 목구멍으로 용해된 납이 쏟아지고 있는 영혼들을 보여주십니다. 이것은 그들의 목구멍을 태우지만 중단되지 않습니다. 이 불 주위에 툭 튀어나온 바위 위에는 제가 셀 수 없을 만큼 많은 천사들이 있습니다. 알라너스가 말씀하십니다. “이 천사들은 지금 연옥의 이 단계에서 정화되고 있는 영혼들의 수호천사들입니다. 이 영혼들의 모든 고통 중에서 가장 큰 시련은 그들이 하느님으로부터 단절됐다는 것입니다.”
저는 살점이 녹아 없어지는 것 같은 영혼들을 보았습니다. 이것 역시 끝없이 계속되고 있었습니다. 알라너스께서 말씀하십니다. “이 영혼들은 육체로 죄를 지은 이들입니다.”
우리는 다른 단계를 보기 위해 자리를 옮겼습니다. 그곳은 불에 물 같은 것이 쏟아져 내리고 있었고, 그래서 불길이 이전 단계보다는 작고 덜 강렬했습니다. 알라너스께서 말씀하십니다. “예수님의 옆구리에서 흘러나오는 물과 피가 계속 이 단계에 있는 영혼들 위에 흘러내립니다.” 모든 영혼들이 고통을 받고 있었지만, 이상하게도 그들의 고통은 모두 비슷해 보였고, 어찌보면 영혼들이 모두 좀 더 하나로 일치된 것 같았습니다. 그들의 손은 열려진 곳을 향하여 들어올려져 있습니다. 그들은 자비를 내려달라고 간청하는 것 같았습니다. 알라너스께서 말씀하십니다. “그들은 하느님의 현존 안에 있지 못하기 때문에 참혹하게 고통을 겪습니다.”
우리는 이전 단계들보다 훨씬 더 나아 보이는 곳으로 옮겨갔습니다. 이곳에 있는 영혼들은 조금 더 사람 모습을 하고 있었지만 잿빛처럼 거무스레했습니다. 알라너스가 말씀하십니다. “이들은 천국과 가장 가까이에 있는 영혼들이며, 거의 정화가 끝난 영혼들입니다. 이들은 미사 한 대, 혹은 묵주기도 한 번, 또는 성모송 한 번만으로도 천국에 들어가 영원한 기쁨을 누릴 수 있도록 준비가 된 영혼들입니다.”
“그러니 죽은 지 오래된 영혼들이 무덤을 장식해달라고 울부짖는 것이 아니라는 것을 이제 아실 겁니다. 많은 이들이 수백년을 연옥에서 보내고 있는 것은 사랑하는 가족들이 그들은 이미 천국에 들어갔다고 착각하기 때문입니다. 그대가 이 거룩한 영혼들을 위하여 기도하고 희생을 봉헌하면 그들은 지금, 그리고 그대의 임종시에 도와줄 것입니다.”

“오늘 너희 나라는 자유를 지키기 위해 죽어간 수많은 이들을 추모하고 있다. 이것은 훌륭한 일이다. 그러나 낙태죄를 통해 태중에서 목숨을 잃은 수많은 무죄한 생명들은 누가 추모해주느냐? 그들 또한 자유를 위해서 즉, 태어날 자유를 위해서 죽은 것이다. 이것은 보수적인 의견이 아니라 진리다. 의견들을 보수 또는 진보 라는 범주 아래 나누는 것은 잘못이다. 오직 진리와 거짓만이 있을 뿐이다. 중간이라든지 논란의 여지가 있는 어중간한 영역은 없다. 낙태의 경우에는, 낙태는 죄다! 낙태는 권한 남용과 진리의 타협의 나쁜 열매다. 그러므로, 나는 너희가 한 국가로서, 전장에서 쓰러진 용사들을 추모하는 이때 태중에서 죽은 수많은 생명들이 과연 이 나라에 어떤 영향을 주었을지를 생각하도록 초대한다. 이들 또한 쓰러진 용사들이다. 이들은 지금은 쇠약해진 너희 나라를 강화시키고 진리의 길을 고수하도록 만들었을 수도 있다. 또한 과학이나 정치, 교회 지도부와 그 외 많은 것들에 기여했을 수도 있다. 너희는 현세에서는 결코 그 차이를 알지 못할 것이다. 오류를 지지하는 것은 더 많은 오류를 초래한다. 약함은 약함에 더한다. 성경 구절 독서 (2티모 1:13-14)” (거룩한 사랑의 피난처이신 마리아 / 2015년 5월 25일)
“천국에서 나는 모든 백성과 모든 민족을 굽어본다. 나는 모든 마음의 내적 활동과 모든 이의 문제들을 알고 있다. 또한 인류가 의지하는 해결책들도 본다. 어떤 것들은 좋지만 어떤 것들은 사악하다. 인간이 내 도움을 구하지 않을 때 문제들은 더 많아지고 심화된다. 이런 경우가 그렇지 않은 경우보다 더 많다. 나는 너희의 크고 작은 모든 결정의 일부가 되기를 원한다. 나는 너희가 내 도움에 의존하기를 원한다. 너희가 나를 빼놓고 어떤 결정을 내리려 할 때 너희의 선택들은 이기적인 사랑이나 심지어 악의 영향을 받기 쉽다. 또한 그 선택들은 너희를 위한 하느님의 뜻의 일부가 아니다. 어떤 선택을 할 때마다 겸손되이 나의 도움을 청함으로써 내게 더 가까이 다가오너라. 너희가 이렇게 하는 것이 하느님의 뜻이므로, 너희는 오류를 피해가도록 인도될 것이다. 너희의 문제들은 해결될 것이며 너희는 평화를 누리게 될 것이다.” (예수님 / 2017년 5월 25일)
“오늘 너희 나라는 너희 나라(미국)를 위해 전사한 수천명의 사람들의 죽음을 기리고 있다. 나는 세계 모든 나라에서도 자신의 그리스도교 신앙 때문에 죽임을 당하는 수많은 이들이 있음을 너희가 깨닫도록 초대한다. 이것은 중동과 아프리카와 같은 지역에서 가장 두드러지게 나타나지만 심지어 남아메리카에도 존재하며 이곳 너희 나라에서도 단발적인 사건들이 일어나고 있다. 이 모든 일 외에도 너(모린)처럼 천국으로부터 메시지를 받거나 발현을 목격하는 이들 중 박해를 받는 이들도 있다. 내 아드님께서는 나를 모든 나라와 온 땅 구석구석에 보내시어 내 자녀들을 격려하고 인도하게 하신다. 내 현존은 권력을 남용하는 당국에 도전하고 신앙의 단순한 진리들을 장려한다. 회의주의는 내 최선의 노력을 약화시킨다. 오늘 나는 너희가 모든 그리스도교 순교자들에게 그들의 대의가 잊혀지지 않도록 기도할 것을 청한다. 또한 여전히 공격을 받으며 위험에 처해 있는 모든 그리스도인들을 위해 기도하여라. 요즘 시대에 세상에 있는 내 메신저들을 위해서, 그들이 중상을 당하거나 오해 받지 않도록 열렬히 기도하여라. 나도 너희와 함께 기도하고 있다.” (성모님 / 2017년 5월 29일 / 미국 현충일)
“나는 모든 세대의 아버지다. 오늘 너희 나라(미국)에서는 명예롭게 전사한 이들을 추모한다. 나는 너희의 (이런) 노력을 장려하기 위해 왔지만 또한 죽은 이들을 위해 더 많은 기도를 바쳐달라 청하기 위해 왔다. 많은 경우, 죽은 이들이 천국에 있다고 여겨지지만 실제로는 속죄해야 할 많은 잘못들이 그들의 영혼에 존재한다. 그들은 독선적이었을 수도 있고 과거 누군가를 용서해주지 않았을 수도 있다. 또는 독선적인 태도의 자매격인 남을 비판하는 태도를 지녔을 수도 있다. 아무리 작은 죄의 흠이라도 그것이 영혼에 존재한다면 아무도 낙원에 들어갈 수 없다. 이것이 내가 연옥을 만든 이유다. 연옥은 영혼의 임종 순간에 그 영혼에 존재하는 모든 죄의 얼룩을 씻어주는 나의 자비의 바다다. 나는 너희에게 연옥이 어떤지에 대해 설명해줄 수 없다. 연옥은 각 영혼마다 다르다. 그렇지만 모든 영혼에게 있어 가장 큰 고통은 그들이 심판 받을 때 만나는 나의 아들로부터 떨어져 있어야 한다는 사실이다. 연옥에 갇혀 있는 영혼들은 스스로를 도울 수 없다. 너희가 그들을 위해 기도하고 희생해 주어야만 한다. 정화의 바다 속에 있는 시간이 흘러갈수록 영혼은 천국의 문에 더 가까이 다가간다. 영혼이 자신과 나의 아들 사이에 아무런 흠이 없게 될 때, 그는 기쁘게 낙원으로 들어오도록 허락 받는다. 절대 너희와 친분이 있는 죽은 이들이 자동적으로 천국에 들어갔다고 가정하지 마라. 그들을 위해 기도할 때 세심한 노력을 기울여라. 성경 구절 독서 (2마카 12:43-45)” (하느님 아버지 / 2018년 5월 28일 / 미국 현충일)
“너희 나라(미국)가 죽은 이들의 삶을 추모하는 오늘, 나는 지상에서 살았을 때 나를 사랑했던 이들이 내세에서 살아 있다는 사실을 너희가 깨닫기 바란다. 너희는 죽은 영혼들이 천국, 연옥, 지옥 중 어디에 있는지 알지 못하므로, 항상 죽은 영혼들을 위해 기도하는 것이 최선이다. 또한 죽은 영혼들이 연옥에 있으며 여전히 너희의 기도를 필요로 한다고 가정하는 것이 가장 안전하다. 죽은 이들을 위한 지나치게 많은 기도란 없다. 너희가 기도해주는 이들이 이미 천국에 있다면, 그들을 위한 너희의 모든 기도는 낭비되는 것이 아니라 도움이 필요한 다른 영혼에게 적용된다. 연옥에는 아무도 그들을 위해 기도해주지 않는 수백 만의 영혼들이 있다. 어떤 이들은 연옥에 대한 믿음이 부족했던 탓에 그곳에 있으며, 또 다른 영혼들은 자신이 최종적으로 천국 또는 지옥 중 어느 곳에 가게 될지 잘못 가정한 탓에 연옥에 있다. 그러므로, 연옥 영혼들을 위해 바친 기도는 아무것도 헛되지 않다. 연옥을 믿지 않는다고 해서 연옥의 존재가 부정되는 것은 아니다. 성경 구절 독서 (1테살 5:23)” (하느님 아버지 / 2021년 5월 31일 / 미국 현충일)
VISIT TO PURGATORY / VISION OF PURGATORY
"Today in your country (U.S.A.) the citizens commemorate the dead by visiting cemeteries and decorating grave sites with flags, flowers and so forth. But what I have come to show you should change the outlook of all people concerning the hereafter if they enter into this vision of Purgatory with sincere hearts. he then leads me, mystically, along a path which seems to be covered in brambles. We go up a little incline and he asks me to stand beside him on the edge of a rocky cliff. He motions with a sweep of his arm, and below us is a big canyon. At one end are great flames. It looks like people in silhouettes bobbing up and down in these flames. There are loud cries for mercy and shouts of pain, but it does not alleviate the suffering. Alanus says, "These are the souls in greatest need of prayer and sacrifice. This is the lowest part of Purgatory--the part closest to Hell itself. Many suffer here, for no one prays for them. They were regarded as 'good'--some even 'holy'--in their lifetime, but it was all a facade. Many priests are among these poor souls, for they were not faithful to the precepts of the Church. There are those who lied about others, and destroyed their reputations. These are them." He shows me souls who are having molten lead poured down their throats. It burns holes through their necks but does not stop. On a ledge around this fire are many angels--more than I can count. Alanus says, "These are the guardian angels of those poor souls being purified at this level. Through all of this suffering, the souls' greatest trial is separation from God." I saw souls who seemed to have their flesh melting away. This, too, was unending. Alanus said, "These are the ones who were guilty of sins of the flesh." We moved on to view the next level. There seemed to be something like water poured down on the fire so the flames were smaller--not as intense. Alanus said, "Blood and water from the Side of Jesus continually flows upon the souls on this level." The souls were suffering, but all their suffering seemed more alike, and for some reason, the souls seemed more united. They had their hands raised towards an opening. They seemed to be begging for mercy. Alanus told me, "They suffer intensely for not being in God's Presence." We moved on to what seemed like a much better area. These souls looked more like people, but they were gray. Alanus said, "These are the ones closest to Paradise. They are almost completely purified. They need maybe one Mass, or one rosary; maybe one Hail Mary to enter eternal joy. So you see, decorating graves is not what souls, long deceased, cry out for. Many spend long centuries in Purgatory, for their loved ones think they are in Heaven. If you pray and sacrifice for these holy souls, they will assist you now and at the hour of your death. "Today, your country (U.S.A.) memorializes the many who died in defense of freedom. This is commendable. However, who remembers the multitude of innocent lives lost in the womb through the sin of abortion? They, too, died for freedom - the freedom to be born. This is not a conservative viewpoint, but the Truth. It is an error to divide opinions into the categories of conservative or liberal. There is only Truth and untruth. There is no in-between - no gray area of controversy. In the case of abortion, it is a sin! Abortion is the bad fruit of the abuse of authority and the compromise of Truth. So, while you as a nation commemorate the fallen heroes on the battlefield, I invite you to think of the difference many of those lives taken in the womb would have made nationwide. These are fallen heroes, as well. They could have strengthened your now debilitated country and held her to the path of Truth. They could have contributed to science, politics, Church leadership and more. You will never know the difference in this life. Supporting error leads to more error. Weakness builds upon weakness. "Today, your country (U.S.A.) commemorates the death of so many thousands suffered for the sake of your nation (U.S.A.). I invite you to realize that there are a multitude who suffer death for the sake of their Christian beliefs in every country of the world. This is most prominent in the Middle East and in places like Africa, but is even present in South America and in isolated incidents here in your nation. Besides all of this, there are those who suffer persecution, such as yourself [Maureen], who receive Messages or Apparitions from Heaven. I have been sent by My Son to every nation and to the farthest corners of the earth to encourage and guide My children. My presence challenges authorities who abuse their power and encourages the simple Truths of the Faith. Skepticism weakens My best efforts. Today, I ask you to pray to all the Christian martyrs that their cause be not forgotten. Pray, as well, for all Christians still under attack and in danger. "I am the Father of all generations. In your nation (U.S.A.) today, you commemorate those deceased with honor. I have come to encourage your efforts, but also to ask you to add many prayers for the deceased. So often, people are presumed to be in Heaven, when in reality they had many faults on their souls to atone for. Perhaps they were self-righteous. Maybe they did not forgive someone in the past. It could be they were judgmental, which is a sister to being self-righteous. No one can enter Paradise with even the smallest blemish of sin on their soul. This is why I created Purgatory. It is a sea of My Mercy which washes away any stain of sin on the soul at the moment of his death. I cannot describe to you what Purgatory is like. It is different for each soul. The greatest suffering for every soul, however, is separation from My Son Whom they meet at their judgment. The souls detained in Purgatory cannot help themselves. You must pray and sacrifice for them. As time in the sea of purification moves on, the soul moves closer to the Gate of Heaven. When the soul has no blemish to stand between himself and My Son, he is joyfully admitted to Paradise. Never presume any deceased member of your acquaintance is automatically admitted to Heaven. "Today, as your country (U.S.A.) commemorates the lives of your deceased, I invite you to realize that those who loved Me in their earthly existence are alive in their afterlife. It is always best to pray for the departed souls, since you are not privy to their position in Heaven, Purgatory or Hell. It is safest to presume the departed are in Purgatory and still in need of your prayers. You cannot offer too many prayers for the dead. If the ones you pray for are in Heaven, all your prayers for them will not be wasted, but go to some other needy soul. There are millions of souls in Purgatory that no one prays for. Some are there due to lack of belief in Purgatory. Others are there because of false presumptions as to their final destination - either Heaven or Hell.
